Issue # 4 :: The 'caught in the act' issue
February is all about confessions (isn't it)? So it's time to fess up to the fact that we all like a bit o' action. Some people like it on the job, some do it in their own time and some live for the thrill of public displays of action. Action comes in all shapes and sizes. So this issue is like a sealed section of sexy action stories and opportunities to titillate and tantalise the change maker in you!
What would drive one Sydney woman to take a vow, a vow to undertake 30 days straight of unbridled action? Was it boredom, was it because she was on uni holidays, or was it simply because she is addicted to making a difference in the world around her?
We'll never know… But what we do know is that Rach successfully completed her 30 days and still wants more. Read her funny and heart-warming blog. |

Hunters & Gatherers
For a new twist on veganism, try freeganism. Freegans are people committed to living by cruelty-free, anti-consumerist and anti-exploitation ethics. Their methods for gathering nosh include dumpster diving, foraging and bartering. For the moment, freeganism is mainly a US thang. Stories are coming out about young people meeting up to scavenge for food together, then holding lavish dinner parties made entirely from their bounty. YouTube Freegan cooking shows- now that's an idea.

Up for grabs

“Although it’s a situation no one ever wishes to be in, knowing that the heart of someone you love may be beating again and giving hope to a whole array of [circus] families is certainly worth it. Sometimes the operation isn’t successful—but it’s the part where the recipient is filled with hope that matters.”
A true story about organ donation from ActNow writer Sheree. Find out how to donate here.
Undercovers
...We fall back onto the bed in a clumsy embrace giggling, as we rip at each other’s clothes. I gasp as his lips tenderly explore me in the dark, pausing at my neck, his breathing deepens. Clutching at the sheets, my anticipation overwhelms me; he whispers in my ear. “Should we use a condom?...
